APS puts the spotlight on the Education Sector

This month we’re putting the focus on the Education Sector at Architectural Panel Solutions, with these three impressive Petrarch projects.

Petrarch – perfect for Education Sector projects

When it comes to searching cladding systems and cladding solutions for education sector projects, the criteria is quite rightly, increasingly stringent, featuring an important ticklish which goes above and beyond the aesthetic.

Though price is clearly a point in question, its the intrinsic qualities of the rainscreen and cladding framing system which are crucial, primarily: fire resistance, durability, weather and graffiti resistance. A ticklist which of course #petrarch delivers on with flying colours.

Stoneywood School

We’re thrilled to showcase this award-winning education sector project. In collaboration with architects Scott Brownrigg and Abderdeen Society of Architects Stoneywood illustrates how our engineered stone facade, Petrarch provides a contemporary contrast against traditional materials.

‘A new state-of-the-art school providing a modern, congenial, healthy, learning and working environment for the primary and pre-school community.’

Crowned winner of not one, yet two, esteemed awards from the Aberdeen Society of Architects, Stoneywood School is a beacon of design excellence. Securing both Public Building of the Year and Innovative Use of Timber – The Wood for Good Award, it is a shining example of sustainable modern architecture in action.

Technology & Innovation Centre

An iconic education building demands a product of excellence

An iconic education building demands a product of excellence. A challenging brief lay behind the creation of this impressive Technology and Innovation Centre. The aim was to create a showcase centre to facilitate change in the ways the university and engage. So naturally they turned to a cladding solution which had stand-out aesthetic appeal and superior resistance –
Petrarch our UK manufactured engineered stone facade. Designed and delivered to the most exacting standards, the centre achieved BREEAM excellence in collaboration with BDP architects, and Lend Lease contractors.
