Petrarch creates the perfect image for Feethams House
APS is pleased to reveal ‘Feethams House’ – A sleek and modern business development, which
highlights the elegant appeal of our Petrarch reconstituted stone cladding panels.
Part of an ambitious project in partnership with Darlington Borough Council, the underlying aim of this project was to power local businesses. ‘Feethams House offers 3836m2 of Grade A open plan office space over five storeys. It represents a significant boost to new businesses and a vital employment opportunity in the heart of Darlington town centre.’
Product highlight: Striking columns of 10mm Petrarch cladding in smooth light stone, with a mechanical secret fix.
Designed to perform
Created by Napper architects in collaboration with Willmott Dixon contractors, the design of Feethams ticks all important environmental standards, with a BREEAM target rating of ‘Excellent’. This is aligned with the council’s drive to reduce carbon emissions. ‘Procured through the Scape Major Works framework, the project sits within a strategic business location, and is set within a new landscaped piazza providing a high quality public realm within the town centre.’

When key stakeholders pull together in the same direction, it always makes for a successful project. This was certainly the case in this instance for Feethams House. We received great feedback for the provision of our premium cladding solution – Petrarch, as well as our timely delivery to site.
“I can’t thank the APS team enough for their support during this complex project. Not simply due to the fact that material was delivered to site exactly when we needed, their technical expertise were also faultless.”
Will McCallum, Project Surveyor, Willmott Dixon
A successful collaboration
“Given the timing of this project, and a delivery date scheduled during the height of COVID – it was certainly with its complexities. Yet thanks to a concerted effort on every front, the project was delivered to time and we’re so impressed with the aesthetic of our Petrarch panels.”
Pete Brough, Head of UK & Europe, Architectural Panel Solutions
